Dosing with LEQVIO®
2 Doses
Uniquely designed to help lower bad cholesterol (LDL-C) with 2 doses a year after 2 initial doses
LEQVIO works with your liver’s natural process—alongside your statin and a healthy diet—to keep your bad cholesterol lower for longer. Each dose works to lower your bad cholesterol for 6 months at a time.
LEQVIO is a medicine that’s given by injection for high bad cholesterol by your doctor or health care provider. Since LEQVIO is a twice-yearly treatment (after 2 initial doses), it can fit neatly into your twice-yearly doctor’s visits. You should continue taking your other cholesterol medicines as instructed by your health care provider.
LEQVIO is 2 Doses a Year
with your current statin dose
Given by your doctor or other health care provider, LEQVIO has an initial dose, another one at 3 months, and then once every 6 months.
.
Other Injectable Treatments* are 12-26 Doses a Year
with or without statins
Other injectable treatments are self-injected every month or every 2 weeks.
*Each dose may involve multiple injections.
The comparison only relates to differences in dosing and how the drug is given, not to results or safety.
