2 places to get your injection
Once your doctor prescribes LEQVIO®, you’ll either:
Get it at your doctor’s office. LEQVIO is a prescription shot administered by your doctor. Some doctors will have it there and ready, and some will order it for you and you’ll go back to get it. You should be able to work it into your normal appointment schedule
OR
Get it at an alternate site of care (ASOC), which is a medical site that specializes in giving patients their injections. If this is how your doctor prescribes LEQVIO to you, you can make your ASOC appointment after your prescription is approved
What to know before your LEQVIO appointment
Have you set up your first appointment for your LEQVIO treatment? If you have, then congrats—that's an amazing first step! Take a look below at some things to keep top of mind for your doctor's visit.
- LEQVIO is a single-dose injection given by a health care provider
- After your first dose, you'll have a second injection in 3 months, and every 6 months (twice yearly) after that
- Wear comfortable clothing to your appointment in case you have some soreness at the injection site
- Bring your up-to-date insurance information with you to your appointment
- Tell your doctor if you've started any medications (prescription or over-the-counter) or if anything has changed since your last visit. It can help to make a list ahead of time and take it with you
- Ask your doctor questions and share any concerns you may have about starting treatment with LEQVIO
What is an ASOC?
An ASOC is a medical facility such as a:

LEQVIO patient compensated for her time.
Individual results may vary.
"Once I started LEQVIO, managing my bad cholesterol seemed possible."
